Rhythms and progress
September feels like a fresh start. Which is odd considering it’s the 9th month.
September feels like a fresh start. Which is odd considering it’s the 9th month.
For us in the UK, it’s obviously linked to the new school year, anyway. That feeling as a child of a fresh uniform, new shoes, and a clean pencil case still permeates my yearly planning as a 30-something-year-old.
At Steadfast Collective, we have rhythms that keep things in balance. Sometimes, it’s time for a spring clean, future planning, or just a heads-down sprint to get stuff done.
Within your communities, you’ll have similar rhythms you may not have even considered.
Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly rituals that keep checks and balances.

- How do you hope to achieve these
- What your community needs/wants
- The health of your community
- Budgets
It’s easy to get swept up within the day-to-day, but this is your reminder to set aside time to review what you need to do for the next 3/6/12 months.
Measure, Measure, Measure, Cut.
That’s what I was taught back in carpentry class.
